Music for Japan
Music for Japanというイベントが土曜日にサンディエゴで開催されます。最初はシリコンバレーの外村さんから、友人が参加するとのことで、Facebookで教えていただいて、今日は指導教員からも友人が参加するからということでメールをいただきました。友人ネットワークすごい。結構広まってる模様。日本人の友人と当日参加しますが、すごく楽しみ。ソニーの米国本社にも初めて行くことができます。
今回の演奏曲の中では、「Amazing Grace」と「上を向いて歩こう」は思い出深い曲なので、参加して色々なことを考えながら、日本への思いを深めようと思います。
当日はustream中継もあるそうです。日本の皆さんも是非遠隔で参加して下さいね！
Charity concert "Music for Japan 2011" to benefit Japan relief
Comfort. Healing. Support. Inspiration.
These are what the Japanese people need most now, and we are embracing the power of music to help our friends, their family and friends, and all those affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami.
Please join us for Music for Japan 2011, a charity concert to benefit disaster relief and recovery efforts.
The evening will feature a wide variety of performers, who will use their musical talents to send warm thoughts, prayers, and well wishes to the people of Japan.
Support Japan T-shirts will also be available for purchase for $10. Proceeds from the concert and T-shirt sales will go to The Japan Society, which will contribute 100% of donations to both relief and recovery efforts in the region.
All members of the San Diego community are invited to attend this special event, so please spread the word.
When: 4:30 - 6:30 pm (PDT), Saturday, April 16, doors open by 3:00 p.m.
